About Home Care connection

Our Story - Dedicated to Trust,
Committed to Care

As a nurse, leader, father, and son, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many individuals including my two medically dependent children. I’ve seen and felt the challenges that can arise within our complex healthcare system. It’s truly heartbreaking to witness the impact of understaffing, long wait times, insurance variability, lack of coordination, and limited resources on both patients and their families. Not to mention the financial burden and the ongoing turnover of staff, leading to strangers coming into your home to care for your most loved ones. Its painful to see clients struggle and families feeling isolated and overwhelmed.

Yet, amidst these challenges, we see an opportunity where an organization can create connections between caregivers, clients, and families. We recognize that everyone is unique, and deserving of personalized support that goes beyond mere tasks. Here, we focus on meaningful connections—ensuring that clients receive not just assistance, but a connection that speaks to their heart and soul. Because when individuals feel understood and valued, their journey toward healing and happiness is profoundly enriched.

Meet Our Founder – Michael Nieciecki, RN, BScN Founder & Director, HomeCARE Connection

With over 14 years of nursing experience, Michael Nieciecki brings deep compassion and clinical expertise to every aspect of care. His journey into nursing began when a trusted mentor recognized his natural ability to care for others and encouraged him to pursue the profession. Starting as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), he quickly discovered his passion for supporting individuals on their often-challenging health journeys.
Driven by a desire to grow and lead with purpose, Michael went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and became a Registered Nurse (RN). Throughout his career, he has focused primarily on geriatrics, where he developed a deep understanding of cognitive health and aging.
As a certified Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) coach, Michael has trained teams in supporting clients living with cognitive decline and responsive behaviours—equipping caregivers with the tools and empathy needed to make meaningful connections.
In addition to his clinical roles, he has served as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) educator and Clinical Instructor for the School of Healthcare at Niagara, shaping the next generation of caregivers with compassion and knowledge.

Michael’s leadership journey expanded when he accepted the role of Executive Director at a health care startup, successfully launching a new territory and building a strong foundation of care services. Inspired by that experience, he founded HomeCARE Connection—a company rooted in his vision to provide individuals with cognitive impairment the highest quality care, personalized support, and the knowledge needed to foster independence and dignity.
